The Riveters

Farideh is a singer-songwriter whose longstanding obsession with African American spirituals is what founded the idea of (or nehind) Rosie and the Riveters and continues to inspire the music they sing today. Farideh comes from a family of eccentric storytellers and artists and keeps the Riveters laughing on and off stage. She has released 4 records, toured the US, UK, Canada and New Zealand and also performs under the name Munirih Sparrow. When she's not on the road singing with the Riveters, she runs an online marketing company.

Francophone singer-songwriter, Alexis Normand, brings an impressive musical education, uncanny arrangement abilities and considerable experience. Her expertise and flare in composition are what make those Riveter harmonies intelligent and fun! Alexis released MIRADOR - her first full-length album – in January 2013, which is the result of a collaboration with visual artist Zoé Fortier. In addition to receiving a nomination for Francophone album of the year at the Western Canadian Music Awards, she was also nominated for Francophone songwriter of the year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards and was short listed for a Lieutenant Governor General of Saskatchewan award in the emerging artist category.

Melissa Nygren is no stranger to girl groups. She began her music career as guitarist and songwriter in the all-girl gypsy bluegrass band "The Cracker Cats". She also founded  "The Heartstrings" and between the two groups she has released 4 albums with her bands and has toured extensively within Canada and overseas. Now a Riveter, her extensive background in roots music adds authenticity and tradition to the Riveter sound. Melissa is currently building a straw bale home just outside of Saskatoon with her partner and their dog, Winnie and cat. Elise. Melissa is passionate about teaching music to young women by running her own business, Prairie Songstress Music, which delivers guitar, voice, and songwriting training to Saskatoon's future musicians.

Sweet and soft, ALLYSON REIGH has been dancing and singing since before she could walk. She's spent countless hours in dance classes; learning guitar, piano, and flute; and writing haunting and heartbreaking songs. A self-proclaimed thriftaholic, Allyson finds the cutest outfits to wear for Riveter shows in vintage shops and Value Village where she is a card-carrying member. She recently released her first EP, "Letters" and has been touring across Canada gaining critical acclaim.
